2 months old!

Its hard to believe it, but Sadie is already 2 months old! She is such a little honey and I am just loving every moment of being her mom! I truly am SO thankful that God chose me to be her mom... God truly works in amazing ways... Loosing my job a year ago has been a blessing and a wonderful door has opened for our family to grow - I couldnt be any happier!


So what is Sadie doing at 2 months?

• She continues to eat well and will take both breast and bottle
• She continues to amaze us at her sleeping!!! A short night is 7 hours and a long night is 11... so she typically lands right around the 8-9 hour mark for her sleep at night. She goes down between 9-10pm after bathtime and feeding, then wakes up between 6 and 8, eats again as well as gets a clean diaper, and then is back down for a "nap" and sleeps until 10-11ish. We are very lucky to have such a good sleeper on our hands! During the day she will nap usually 3 times - in her crib or swing if we are home, otherwise in the car, stroller, or shopping cart - but most naps wont last any longer than 45min-1 hour...
• She continues to interact with us through lots of smiles. She will smile for new people too. She likes to talk - but mostly only with Mommy... Daddy gets dirty looks when he interupts our "girl talks"... and earlier this week we visited Grandpa V at work and she laughed at him when he was making whistle noises at her :)
• She still likes her bouncy seat and has started to "play" with the toys on it... she also has begun to like her swing (or should I say mommy likes it) - it tends to put her to sleep, so if she is getting fussy, we just put her in the swing and let it do its magic!
• Her eyes continue to develop and its fun to move around and watch her follow. She still watches the dogs and will smile at them.
• Her neck and head have gotten stronger and she really likes to sit and stand up with assistance on our laps... if we hold her hands she will "pull" herself up and push with her feet until we help her pull up.
• She still sleeps swaddled in her sleep positioner on her side
• She weighs 14lb 5oz and is 25 1/4in long - measuring average weight for a 4 month and height for a 5 months
• She is wearing size 6mo clothes, and size 1 diapers - although when we run out of this package of size 1 we will start size 2!

The weather has been just amazing this fall - so her and I have had a lot of outings... we like to go downtown and go for walks, we have gone on a few around by the house in the evenings (before it got so dark out) and I would put her in the baby Bjorn and have the dogs on their leashes... Lots of fun!

Believe it or not, it turns out Sadie likes the vacuum!!! (no more excuses on why the house isnt clean!) One day there was just so much dog hair on the floor, I couldnt stand it so I decided to put Sadie in the Bjorn and see what happened...
